DISCOUNT ON PROFESSIONAL INSURANCE

Protect yourself with the right insurance and with a discount on the standard rate. Accidents do happen to even the most skilled and experienced therapists and the costs and claim for damages can run into many thousands of pounds. It is therefore essential that you are properly covered. In recognition of the quality of CThA members as qualified professionals, we have been able to negotiate a substantial discount on insurance.

EMBODY FOR YOU WEBSITE LISTING

As a member of CThA you will receive a page on the embodyforyou website (www.embodyforyou.com). This web site attracts over 100,000 visitors per month specifically looking for therapists in their area. Your listing and web page allows you to promote yourself, your skills and the therapies you offer, directly gaining clients. Details of how to set up your web page will be included in your welcome pack.

SPECIAL TREATMENT LICENCE EXEMPTION

If you are performing treatments within all the London Boroughs and some other parts of the country, you are required by law to have a Special Treatment Licence. There are a number of treatments that are classified as special treatments such as massage, aromatherapy, Bowen therapy, shiatsu, manual lymphatic drainage and reflexology to name but a few. Special Treatment Licences can run into hundreds, and in some cases, thousands of pounds especially if you are working across several London boroughs. CThA members are exempt from paying for the Special Treatment Licence in recognition of the exceptionally high professional standards and quality of their membership body.

LOCAL GROUP MEETINGS

As a member of the CThA you are invited to join your local CThA Hub. These are small groups set up throughout the UK which provide members with an opportunity to attend seminars, CPD courses, meet other complementary therapists and provide great networking opportunities.
