The following information is not meant to be in any way prescriptive and is merely content that has been compiled to help you make an informed decision about which product could suit you. Please remember to contact your physician or sports medicine professional for proper, qualified guidance.

What wrist support should I use for Soft Tissue Injuries?

If you have consulted a medical professional about wrist pain and they have informed you that you have a soft tissue injury, this could refer to damage done to the soft tissues in muscles, ligaments and tendons that surround the wrist. In order to provide supported healing, a wrist stabiliser is the type of wrist support usually recommended

What wrist support should I use for Arthritis?

Arthritis is a very limiting and painful condition and can become more severe as time progresses so it is essential that pain management is effective and the joints are aptly supported. Wrist stabilisers and Adjustable wrist supports are the most suitable wrist support for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis. Forbes named the Actimove thumb Stabiliser in their list of Best Arthritis gloves (2022).  We also have a complete Arthritis range from Actimove, have a look at our Arthritis Supports.

What wrist support should I use for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or Repetitive Strain?

Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by overuse and/or very repetitive activities. It is very common in desk-based jobs where very repetitive movement is likely such as with a computer but is also common in any other repetitive physical activity such as construction or working on a production line in a factory. Symptoms include acute pain and numbness in your hand. A wrist stabiliser or general wrist support such as an adjustable wrist support are the best types of wrist support that are suitable to help treat carpal tunnel syndrome and similar repetitive strain injuries. We also sell a specially designed support for Carpal Tunnel, for more information please take a look at our RSI Buyer's Guide and Carpal Tunnel Pain

What wrist support should I use for Tendonitis?

Overuse of our wrists can lead to a slight tear in the tendons. You might notice tenderness in the affected area, enduring pain and or inflammation and strain. After this has been officially diagnosed, a wrist stabiliser can be used as a solution if found suitable.

What wrist support should I use for a general Sprain or Strain?

A Sprain or Strain in the wrist happens when a forceful twist or blow leads to a tear in muscles or tendons for a strain and the stretching/tearing of ligaments for a sprained wrist. These injuries can cause pain and discomfort and therefore a wrist stabiliser, adjustable wrist support or wrap around wrist support are typically recommended
